Twisted4000's News

So after over half of a year I finished this thing, here it is on Newgrounds. And here it is on YouTube. What took so long? Well first off, it was naturally just a very long video (I even cut out some parts that were scripted to shorten it), but also because, as I've stated multiple times, the file got corrupt and randomly deleted multiple scenes instantaneously, thus making me redo them. Unfortunately I think the quality kinda sucks at some parts, and that was mainly due to me being lazy and angry at the fact I had to redo it lol. But anyway, enjoy. I'll think of what I'll make next, and it WON'T be this long ever again.

K so I was animating my Dual Force cartoon, I was hoping to finish it by the end of this month, or early-mid-March, but then I think just now I may have accidentally deleted the last like 4 scenes and then saved the document, and I tried everything, this file repair program, restoring the file to a previous version, but I just get an error that says "Could not load scene into memory. Your document may be damaged." Sooo ummm yey I just lost like all that work. Welp, now I have to redo those scenes. Sorry, it's going to take like another month or so. I really wanted to be done with this project, but now I got wait even longer hahaha. Ah well.

So remember kids: ALWAYS SAVE BACKUPS. I saved one backup, but that was like 2 months ago so it serves no purpose now. I should start saving them literally like almost every day.

But in good news though (or bad news, depending on how you look at it), the video is like 6 minutes long right now, and it's going to be about 8 or so when it's finished. Woooow that is a long video and it's no wonder it took me like since last October to finish it lol.

I finally finished Dual Force! Well no, I didn't. I finished the trailer for it. How exciting.

You can watch it like right here if you want. The music I used in it was Viking Barbers from Space by Devastus. SICK song, by the way. Oh and I was actually planning on using it even BEFORE RicePirate used it in his Dark Knight Rises video. What a mind-copycat!! Oh he's voicing in Dual Force, by the way. So is SirUndead and TDK1987.

As I said before I hope to get the full thing out this February.

And as always, buncha other stuff going on. Working on a game, conjuring up ideas and scripts for future videos that I'm OVER THE MOONLY excited for. But I can't really get to those until I free myself from Dual Force's chains. That's my motivation to finish it.

Plus I'm also, as usual, practicing my art, coloring, design, all that good stuff. Oh and I'm voicing for some video by SwagMuffin. Not sure when that will come out but seems neatorific.

That's all, TOODLES c:

I made a video on most of the stuff I did in 2012. I hated this year. So let's hope next year is a bit better.

Here it is.

Christmas is coming. So is some stuff I'm making. Hopefully.

So I've talked about a series I was started, and I have, a couple months ago. Last early October, to be exact. It's only like half-done now though, it's going to be around 6-7 minutes long. Lately though, I've been on-and-off with motivation. I feel like I really want to start some other video projects, because this one is taking forever and even if I work on it all day, progress is still immensely slow. And looking back at previous scenes I made a couple months ago, they look bad and outdated to me, so I'll have to go back and fix things.

I think the plot, writing and dialogue is fine, and RicePirate, SirUndead, and TDK1987 all did great jobs on the voices, but I'm not finding any joy whatsoever animating it right now. I'm still trying very hard to keep going, because shoving it in the back-burner would be a bad idea, as it would prolong its release even more. My biggest goal as of now is to animate up to at least some more good parts so I'll have some footage to put in the trailer for YouTube.

So what I'm saying is, I'm not sure if I really want to make this a series, I'm just liking the idea less-and-less each day. Some part of me wants to just scrap the whole episode, but I've worked too hard and spent way too much time to go back now, like I feel like I'm at the point of no return, so I certainly will finish it, that's for sure.

And after I DO finish this (this February if I'm lucky), I don't think I'll really ever try to make a series again, I found a lot more happiness making those one-time deals like StarNova and The Freelance Police, because, and I think pretty much every animator out there is going to agree with me on this, once you finish a project, you're VERY glad that you finally got it over with and never have to touch it again, and you can move on to something new.

I have a bunch more ideas for new little movies to make after this one, and I guess that's really my main motivation at this point to get this done and uploaded. I'm not one of those guys who can just blast out a new video every two weeks and make a couple thousand dollars for each one and buy myself Cintiqs.

So yeah, Merry Christmas. Trying to get this done, as well as some games I have planned. Also tomorrow I'll hopefully be getting a new microphone, the Blue Yeti. I've had the Blue Snowball for about a year now, and it's still an awesome mic, but it's been making this strange little buzzing noise that I just noticed recently, so I guess it may be a good time for an upgrade.

Christmas Updates, Hmhmhm

Posted by Twisted4000 - December 2nd, 2012

So me and a bunch of other dudes got invited into the Flash Advent Calender 2012 hosted by PuffBallsUnited.

Basically, we each made a little Flash cartoon that will play depending on which object you press on the screen. Every object on the screen has a number next to it. The number represents the day this December the video for that object will unlock. So let's say it was December 8th. That means that object 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 will all be able to be played that day. Sorry for such a dumbed-down explanation, but I'm getting pretty tired of seeing all these people giving it a low review because they think "the links are broken". Well, they're not broken... just locked for now.

You can play it here. There's 23 total cartoons, so there will be a new video unlocked each day until Christmas Eve.

What's funny is that my submission to it was marked for December 1st. You can also watch it here, on YouTube. Saminat and I did the voices. Saminat's funny. He's cool.

So a a big thank you to PuffBallsUnited and TomFulp for inviting me in this and giving me this opportunity to work with some pretty cool guys, and a Merry Christmas to you all!

Oh and I'm working still working on a bunch of projects. And art. And voice things.

k bye

Alright so Thanksgiving Break started for me, so that's a full week to have a bit of extra time to get stuff done. I'm still working on the first Dual Force episode as I mentioned, and it's been nearly a month and a half and I only have about 2 minutes of footage complete, but that's mainly because I've been working on like 3 other things, and school. :S There's one mini animation I'm making for something to upload to YouTube, and then I was also invited into that Christmas Advent Calender thing, so I decided to make a little video for that as well. And as I've been saying for like 3/4 of a year now, I'm still doing design and planning for the game I want to make. And I'm still thinking of a title.

Happy Halloween, peeps

More filler content from yours truly

So anyway, now I'm working on a series I wanted to do for a while, I'll have a preview of it up when I get enough progress on it. I'm also doing some designing and stuff for the game I wanted to make, which I've been mentioning for like half a year now.

Posted by Twisted4000 - September 26th, 2012

Right so there's a series I wanted to start for a while, but so far couldn't because I'm still waiting to gather some audio for it, so instead I just made this anime-mocking type thing to hold some things over. Practicing some new techniques and drawing overall, of course.

There's a game I wanted to make for a few months as well but it's gonna be a while before I get to work on that, if ever.

Also I might make another quick animation thing soon if I still don't get the audio, plus it's all practice in the end anyway so. Yeah enjoy.

Oh yeah one more thing, if you ever wanted to get a camera movement effect but didn't want to use a v-cam or anything, well I have this tutorial on that, it's basically about moving the camera with graphics, directly in and solely with Flash, and you can watch it on YouTube here.

This took half my life but I hope you like it.

Also I have ideas for a game I want to make and a series sometime, but who knows, we get there when we get there. For now I just need to practice getting better at drawing in general before I start another big project so.

Edit: Also, have a free voice demo! I just treated up my closet so I decided to test out my mic in it so yeah here. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/501281?up dated=1
